Our only and ultimate goal is to find a medical treatment or cure for BPAN as quickly as possible. We are laser focused on 2 things – raising money and funding research to help our kids before it’s too late.
Beat BPAN is a non profit organization built on a common mission to find a cure to help our kids suffering with BPAN before it’s too late. We are a group of families whose children our impacted with this awful disease, and along with our scientific board are committed to find a way to solve this complex problem.

Yvette and Shaun Redick
Former literary and packaging agent at iconic top global talent agencies, WME and ICM, and now feature film and series Producer, Shaun Redick has developed and produced several recent movies including "Get Out", which premiered at Sundance and went on to become one of Hollywood's most profitable movies of all time. "Get Out" was nominated for 4 Academy-Awards® and won an Oscar® for Best Screenplay. Subsequently, Redick produced the Cannes Grand Prix Winner, "BlacKkKlansman" which received 6 Academy-Award® nominations and won an Oscar® for Best Adapted Screenplay. Both movies won the coveted AFI Award for Top Ten Movies of the year. Before partnering with Shaun, Mexican-American Producer and successful Actress, Yvette Yates Redick, started in stand-up comedy and produced groundbreaking comedy specials showcasing diverse veteran and upcoming BIPOC comedians. Yvette also starred in hit movies such as Paul Thomas Anderson's 2x Academy-Award® nominated "Inherent Vice", and the action thriller "El Gringo", amongst others. The Redick duo has a combined box office of over $1.5 billion worldwide and their movies have garnered 12 Academy-Award® nominations. Shaun and Yvette are loving parents to Vivienne who was diagnosed with BPAN in 2024.

Christina and Tommy Ftikas
Christina is a parent advocate for BPAN and is the loving parent to Lexi and Lukas. Christina has an MBA in Global Business and Marketing from Rutgers University. Christina leads our BPAN research and has developed several relationships in the industry that have been a guiding force to the Don’t Forget Morgan research and creation of the CHOP Beat BPAN gene therapy project. Athanasios (Tommy) Ftikas is loving husband to Christina and proud father to Lukas and Lexi. He graduated with an MBA in Finance and worked in finance industry for many years prior to opening a small business in the restaurant Industry. With his business background along with his own personal medical journey, Athanasios knows how to beat the odds and find a treatment for a medical miracle. He and his family are committed to working towards a treatment for BPAN.

Dr. Bill and Summer Roth
As a physician and nurse couple, Summer and Bill have pledged to do whatever is possible to help further research and develop treatments for BPAN and other rare genetic diseases. They started Harper’s Hope, The Roth Family Foundation to direct funding toward gene replacement and correction projects, which will be applicable to BPAN and scores of other rare genetic disorders. Bill and Summer have partnered with Don’t Forget Morgan to fund several important research projects at Harvard/Mass General, Nationwide and Sanford Research.

Kaci and Brian Kegler
Kaci and Brian Kegler have been dedicated advocates for BPAN research and awareness since their daughter Elle's diagnosis in 2016. Motivated by the urgent need to find a cure, they collaborate with organizations like Don’t Forget Morgan to contribute meaningfully to the BPAN community. They balance their efforts with raising their three children—Nolan, Elle, and Theo—and pursuing their careers at the University of Michigan, where Kaci serves as the Director of One-Year Master’s Programs at the Ross School of Business, and Brian serves as the Executive Associate Athletic Director for Development in Michigan Athletics.

Kelly and Kevin Kozole
Kelly and Kevin Kozole founded Don’t Forget Morgan in 2020 and have funded over $2 Million in research with the help of our partner families, family and friends. Initially we were just praying for a cure for BPAN, and now we have real hope that a cure for BPAN is possible to help our daughter Morgan and all kids suffering with BPAN. Kelly is the SVP of Revenue for the Detroit Lions and Kevin is the Director of Sales for the Maxton Group.
